We are beginning the second week of our new language arts unit, "Community Heroes".  The directions for the theme project are coming home tonight in your child's homework folder. The project itself is due at the end of the unit on Wednesday, November 6th.  Please read and keep the directions.  Sign and return the tear off slip with  your child tomorrow.  Your child will be writing a short play about a community hero of their choice.  Over the next two weeks your child will become more familiar with reading and performing from a script.  They will perform short reader's theater plays in class.

Next week is the end of our first language arts unit.  We will be reviewing skills taught throughout this unit in class to prepare for the unit assessment on Friday.  There will not be a language arts packet for that week.
